Production usage of Kaka connector and status of connector

Good afternoon. I note on a zeebe related Blog, it was said that the zeebe-Kafka connector would be uploaded to Confuent hub once it had stabilised so since it doesn’t appear there am I correct in saying that it isn’t stable yet?

Also, could anyone share some experiences of trying to use zeebe and kafka/zeebe-kafka connector beyond a basic POC. We are considering it for a fairly significant adoption since it seems a good fit for our use cases but was wondering how far down the road anyone had got with it in a “production situation”.

thanks

Hey Greco66.

Great questions! Actually the connector is stable and there is already tag which will be the basis for the Confluent Hub: https://github.com/zeebe-io/kafka-connect-zeebe/tree/0.22.0. We passed the Confluent verification process, but still wait for it to become available there. Hopefully soon.

In terms of features it would be great to check if this is what you need or what exactly is missing.
In terms of stability we have some early adopters using it, but it is still early stage. On the other hand we did some severe load testing as part of the verification and is is not too much code, so nothing to be too afraid of.

Can you share some details about your use case?
Also happy to take a DM or email if that is confidential.

Thanks
Bernd

Hi @Greco66, I will also mention that the Zeebe connector was actually just certified and added to Confluent hub within the past 24 hours or so: https://www.confluent.io/hub/zeebe-io/kafka-connect-zeebe

Brilliant, that’s great timing …
